Terms of service.
These are the terms for the Tabled closed beta. They cover the marketing site at usetabled.comand the operator app (web + iOS). Tabled is in early access; we’ll publish a more formal customer agreement closer to public launch and notify beta participants before it takes effect.
Who can use Tabled
Right now, Tabled is invitation-only for the Founders-25 closed beta. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act on behalf of the business you sign up. Each operator account is tied to a single Apple ID via Sign in with Apple. Don’t share credentials.
What we provide
Tabled is software for local businesses to manage content, bookings, orders, reviews, and delivery from one place. During the beta, features may change, be removed, or behave unexpectedly. We’ll communicate material changes via the operator inbox and the founder’s email updates.
Payments
- Diner orders processed through the cart are charged via Stripe. By placing an order, the diner agrees to Stripe’s terms in addition to ours. Tabled does not store card numbers.
- Operator payouts during the beta route to the platform account, then to the operator per the beta agreement signed at onboarding. Direct Connect payouts arrive in a later phase.
- Refundsare at the operator’s discretion via the in-app refund button. Stripe processing fees are typically not returned on refunds; the operator absorbs them.
- No subscription fee during the closed beta. We’ll announce pricing before it applies, with at least 30 days’ notice.
Content & ownership
- Operators own the content they post (menu, photos, posts, business details). By posting it through Tabled, they grant Tabled a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content as needed to operate the service.
- Diners own the reviews and posts they submit. The same display license applies.
- Tabled-authored materials (the app UI, marketing copy, illustrations, the Tabled name and logo) are owned by Tabled and may not be copied or rebranded.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Tabled to harass, defraud, or spam other users; to publish illegal content; to reverse engineer or attack the service; or to circumvent platform moderation. Operators who violate this may be flagged, restricted, or suspended through the founder portal — with audit trail. We aim to give notice and a chance to fix issues before any suspension that affects business operations.
Availability & warranties
The service is provided as-is during the closed beta. We do not guarantee uptime, error-free operation, or fitness for any particular business purpose. We monitor actively and will keep beta participants informed of any material incidents.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tabled’s total liability to any operator or diner for any claim arising from the beta is limited to the fees that party paid Tabled in the 12 months preceding the claim — which, for closed-beta participants with no subscription fee, is $0. This does not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or anything applicable law says we can’t limit.
Termination
Either party can end the beta relationship at any time. If you want to leave, email hello@usetabled.com and we’ll export your data and remove your account. If Tabled needs to end your access (acceptable-use violation, inactivity, end of beta program), we’ll give notice and an export window when feasible.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you a non-waivable right to file elsewhere.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced via the operator inbox and the founder’s email updates with at least 14 days’ notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
